Philippine Mutual Funds

I spent this afternoon just hanging out with a friend who works in a bank. Our conversation was really serious - it was about investing. He told me that he recently invested in some Philippine Mutual Funds and he's very optimistic that he will earn a lot of money from it in the long term. I am not familiar with this type of investment so I asked him how to invest in mutual funds in the Philippines. He was able to answer it quite thoroughly that's why now, I'm thinking of doing the same as well. Instead of letting my money sleep in the bank, I might as well make it grow faster than what the savings account interest gives me.
